This is one of a large group of posters, warning against <a href=\"http:\/\/cryofthereed.blogspot.com\/2008\/04\/sunday-performance.html\" title=\"sinan's\" target=\"_blank\">vicious and personal reviews<\/a> of regional theatre productions, many of which are being sunk by critics before achieving their Broadway runs.  These types of  posters are also being <a href=\"http:\/\/mirroruptolife.blogspot.com\/2008\/04\/more-on-breaking-ground.html\" title=\"art's\" target=\"_blank\">displayed in regional theatre lobbies<\/a>, theatre audience bars and restaurants-wherever there is danger of critics, reviewers, or other saboteurs attempting to initiate dramaturgical discussions before a production is ready for prime time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nh.gov\/nhsl\/ww2\/images\/ww39.jpg\" alt=\"sinking ship\" height=\"643\" width=\"506\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Actors Equity War poster circa May 2008. 28 x 22.<\/p>\n<p>A group of injured and shocked actors in a life boat rowing away from their critically savaged production.   Central to maintaining a deluded sense of self worth and a duplicitous social facade of camaraderie, the PR Cliques&#8217; broadcasts attempt to limit talk about productions in both the public and private arenas of American life, especially at <a href=\"http:\/\/donhall.blogspot.com\/2008\/05\/is-being-civil-just-another-way-to-shut.html\" title=\"don's\" target=\"_blank\">theatre barbeques<\/a>.    The graphic designs of these &#8220;loose talk&#8221;  posters are usually strong and eye catching using bright colors for impact.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/6\/6a\/Rosie_the_Riveter.jpg\" alt=\"rosie the riveter\" height=\"639\" width=\"497\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Girl Bloggers Guild War poster circa May 2008. 40 x 29.<\/p>\n<p>Attempts by <a href=\"http:\/\/nikku.net\/blog\/a-meme-with-a-pulse\/\" title=\"nick k's\" target=\"_blank\">progressive<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/nikku.net\/blog\/a-meme-with-a-pulse\/\" title=\"nick k's\" target=\"_blank\">members<\/a> of certain PR Cliques to bring <a href=\"http:\/\/chicagoaninithaca.blogspot.com\/2008\/05\/on-being-timid-little-girl.html\" title=\"trailng spouse blues'\" target=\"_blank\">women bloggers<\/a> into the testosterone charged theatrosphere to &#8220;civilize&#8221; the conversation met with only limited <a href=\"http:\/\/devilvet.blogspot.com\/2008\/05\/hey-macto-answer-your-question-and-then.html\" title=\"GreyZelda's\" target=\"_blank\">success<\/a>. It was a decade of fast yet permanent<br \/>\nmemories. The kaleidoscope of pain<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 6pt\">some inflicted  \t\t\t\ton others seemed inexhaustible<br \/>\nas the positions of <em>sex,<\/em> a term<br \/>\nwhose meaning is as hybridized as the latest orchid. Terrorism<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 6pt\">had reached a  \t\t\t\tnew peak, and we gradually<br \/>\ndidn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t care which airline we got on, as long as the pilot<br \/>\nwas sober, and the stash of pretzels, beer, and soft drinks<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 6pt\">remained  \t\t\t\tintact. On TV, a teenage idol has just crawled, dripping wet,<br \/>\nfrom the top of a giant Pepsi can, or maybe I imagined it,<br \/>\nflicking through channels where the panoply<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 6pt\"> of <em>reality  \t\t\t\tshows<\/em> has begun to exorcise<br \/>\nthe very notion of reality, for both the scrutinized actor<br \/>\nand the debilitated viewer who becomes confused and often  \t\t\t\treaches<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 6pt\">into the  \t\t\t\tpastel screen for his glass, while down Broadway<br \/>\nsirens provide a kind of glamorous chorus<br \/>\nfor this script of history where everything is so neatly  \t\t\t\tmeasured<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 6pt\">in miles,  \t\t\t\tpounds, or megabits. How nice it would be<br \/>\nto drowse in the immeasurable. How fast the eternal.<br \/>\nHow desperately<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 6pt\">we need a  \t\t\t\tclearing, a place<br \/>\nbeyond, but not necessarily<br \/>\nof nature. <em>And the rain <\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 6pt\"><em>was so deep  \t\t\t\tthe entire forest smelled of stone, then the sun<br \/>\nbroke, burying the long shadows<br \/>\nin gold.<\/em> And the wounded<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 6pt\">king woke in a  \t\t\t\tbook long since closed, and the princess<br \/>\ncame to in a bed so large<br \/>\nshe could never leave. How desperately<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 6pt\">we need a new  \t\t\t\tlegend, one with a hero, tired<br \/>\nthough he may be.
