To you in the presence of my voice<\/p>\n
The fourth wall is there<\/p>\n
Just behind you the generations just beyond you yet to be<\/p>\n
The true audience watches us gather<\/p>\n
For the story of this flesh<\/p>\n
Blind to its fate<\/p>\n
Blind to its origin<\/p>\n
Yet the grape seeks to know its vine<\/p>\n
As the vine seeks to know its wine<\/p>\n
Flesh most divine<\/p>\n
Blind drunk in its own mystery<\/p>\n
Its story will not die cannot die<\/p>\n
Ripened fruit falls to ferment<\/p>\n
On the ground beneath above<\/p>\n
Branch same as root<\/p>\n
Drink from this sacred place of gathering<\/p>\n
Would you walk up close to peer<\/p>\n
Deep into the blue sky of my eye<\/p>\n
Would you hear this story whisper on as I die<\/p>\n
